RMG issue
Can RMG give allocation without informing us? What can be done if they aligned you for some project which is not related to our skill set?
Only and only if you mail the RMG or prospective account with your consent, are you liable to join it. They aligned me with a random project too, although it did match my skills. They gave allocation also. But i didn't join because I had not consented to it and told same to RMG. They had to revoke allocation after 1 month and in return, I got one month vacation :)

Yes. Tbf, nobody called and asked, not even the project people. I hadn't given any consent on mail either. If anyone asked, my plan was just to tell them that I haven't consented to join this and it doesn't align with my career plan. No. Only one random person from the project contacted me for idk what.
For a month, I got allocation in the above project so as per system, I was 'allocated' and nobody bothered to contact. I was planning to switch, so I didn't bother either.
To add context, I also had experience of 4 years. So not so junior too.
What's your experience? Why do you not want to join the particular project? Have you tried posting on Knome that you're looking to join project with such and such skills?

For freshers and less experienced, RMG couldn't care less. I've been its victim too.
Yes nowadays if you are not taking projects by yourself they will try to fit you its upto you now how to deal with it .
I released from the project And as waiting for allocation from another project from 2days Suddenly they allocated me to the different project without my concern and asking me to report. Can I go ahead and escalate this

You should not accept a skill outside your forte. RMG needs to publish your skills to all TCS or provide training with a new skills which is employable or billable
It's not possible. If you are fresher and you are rejected many project. Then they will force you.
Because for freshers they don't give chances mostly to select their projects
I have heard the same thing .. they sometimes do.. but understand RMG always asks your skills before aligning you to any project.
So if they without ur consent.. you can simply write to them.
