Love yourself first if you are fulfilled then you gonna get fulfilled person for your emotions as well.. You can find via any medium but don't be in hurry take time observe the nature of the person. Sometimes it does happens people get into wrongs partners without knowing the true intentions. Value should be shared. Maybe it is different from the guy perspective this is from the Female perspective.

I beg to disagree on some points as said by @Bittergourd , that nature of person is not always they put before you, some people can be too shy to reveal their true nature and only show their true nature of being affectionate, loving and caring if they find a confidante in you... so if u are with someone who is shy then you cannot determine their nature correctly at times but they can be a perfect match for you. I'm a shy guy this is what I think, rest agree with everything what @Bittergourd wrote.
Watch fewer movies and spend more time talking to actual women.
Learn to love yourself enough that you don't need someone else's love. Ironically that's when you'll find better partners.
