Right laptop for software product development

My Lenovo windows is dead. Was functional since 2017 but not anymore. I am also starting to build apps, web etc digital products using heavy AI tools like cursor, bolt, lovable etc and many others simultaneously (figma, VSC, Office suite etc), along with the regular needs like calls, videos, emails, shopping etc. Strictly no gaming need by the way.
The question is, for all these software development works and heavy AI apps usage, is a MacBook air good enough or should I look for MacBook pro?
Whatever be your answer, will you also mention the configuration and versions of that product?
Air m4 is good option
Why not M3 then? I have heard there is not much significant update from M3 to M4?
Get a pro which comes with a fan for ventilation, ironic to the series named Air - it has no fans in it. People who say fans don't matter much have not yet used the Mac to its full potential.
