Review of Harkirat's 0-100 complete course

I am unaware if this discussion has happened here before. If so, please link it here.

My two colleagues and I are planning to buy the course in partnership. But I am not sure whether the course would be worth it or not.

I own it. It's worth it
I own it. It's worthless
I have heard it's good

I’m an experienced dev and in the cohort. I’ve seen better way better teachers on YouTube. The reason I’ve taken it is to stay motivated and finish a couple of decent projects along the way and get introduced to backend and devops stuff. Also get into open source and insights on how to get remote job. So not strictly to learn how to build React apps

I kinda have the same reason.

I am a jr frontend guy, want to get understanding of backend + infra + devops. Other guy is sr backend wants to get hands on devops.

We both are quite familiar with what we do in our fields. Just want an exposure and a good headstart

Surprising results.. A few weeks ago, everyone on my twitter timeline was excited about joining one of their cohorts.

What you really need to learn is how to Google. The amount of good content written/video based, you'll never want to buy another course. Also a good mentor who can guide you on what to learn, to which degree, and in what order.

Instead of blindly collecting information, focus on joining a startup and learning what is necessary. I was once confused too, but I gradually realized that tools and frameworks should be learned when you need them and have the opportunity to improve something using them. Learning just because it's a trend will lead you back to the same pit you wanted to escape from, making you feel generic.

When large language models (LLMs) have become so advanced and accurate, you should not have any issues using them to guide your journey. It's better to make yourself comfortable with tools like ChatGPT and avoid the coding camps and cohorts that are misleading India's youth with false hopes. They promise that learning certain skills will help you get a good remote job, but they don't prepare you for real-world challenges like layoffs. It's better to take steps on your own and not depend on these "Andrew Tates" of the coding world.

Depending on your goals and requirements, you can determine whether you want to buy Harkirat’s 0-100 complete course or not. According to some Harkirat cohort review, it offers a structured method so that you can stay on track. Many people are pursuing this course. So, if you also buy it, you will be able to learn and exchange thoughts with other individuals. This course would also allow you to increase your networking opportunities. But, one thing that is common among all cohort courses is that they are expensive. The word of advice will be to invest only in the company they align with your goals.
