I have been working for TCS for 6.4 years. Last year I had a brain stroke. Since then I am not able to walk and asked them for WFH but they are not giving me in this critical medical condition then how can you expect such things from TCS 🤣🤣 better resign from TCS and get better opportunity after 1 or 2 yrs.

Yes. For me also.. i was in ML from May 2023 to Dec 2023.. after joining back i did not go to office due to the WFO exception policy.. it allows you to wfh till your baby is below 1 year..

What you need to do to get this exception

Yes they should allow as the policy says women returning from ml can work from home upto 6 months. You need to share birth certificate of your baby to your hrbp. Drop the mail and mention the duration till the time you need wfh , get it approved and then raise exception in the system every month upto 6 month

I have seen a woman advocating other people(Men) that women are coming to office who have just given birth so should everyone come, doesn't matter what problems you have at home! I didn't reply anything. But I think, this is pathetic that such behaviour is celebrated by a woman who is mother of a 6-7 year old daughter, just because she traveled during her post pregnancy time so should every woman and man come to office...this was her statement!

How ridiculous is this, I wonder how child feels without mother especially when child is just few months or years old, I think all women should be given wfh in every such case.

As per Policy He/She can get Maternal/ Paternal WFH exceptions if child is <=1 Year.

First Send an email to HR attaching Medical docs, it gets validated by Dr. And he provides the approval.

Once it's done HR will give you a green light, then you can apply in the system and get it approved by the Manager then HR approves it.

Note: don't apply directly in systems it's of no use.

HR is asking for rmg approval and rmg is telling it is mandatory to come to office what should I do

Yes they should… go to GESS… under my profile > exception from 2Office rostering.. select “flexible work options” category and then select appropriate sub category. Then upload your babys birth certificate with a reason and apply. It would go to HR and then your PM for approval. Connect with them separately and they should approve. Best of luck

Resuming work after ML

I never thought I would have to start afresh when returning back to work after my maternity leave. I naively thought I can pick up where I left. But the reality stroke me hard. Any similar experiences and tips to ease this transition?

I met one of my college friends yesterday at a bar. She got married last year and was laying down the struggle of finding a new job.

Now, apparently in many interviews when she reached the final few rounds, the HR or the Hiring Manag...

All these issues root from this being an employer market. We won’t see this as much in good times.
