Return to work program (Mother's Day Post)

On Mother's Day I wanted to ask everyone 'does the return to work program that a lot of companies have actually work and are they compensated well?' Love to hear views since I feel it's just an HR gimmick and a lot of companies frown in this career gap without even asking the reason.

Gimmick. Friend used to drive such a program in FAANG. They met numbers by hiring new moms to low paying support roles with dead end careers. Moved to an IB, there also they did the same.
New moms don’t get hired to high pressure roles in my observation.
