A lot of narrow minded people are asking why it is problem to come to office once a week? How about asking more productive question?
What is the purpose of going to the office? 1.)All teams are scattered in other offices across the country and clients are overseas. 2.)We have to carry our own laptop to the work. It’s a complete joke. What nonsense! Atleast, provide us office machine like desktop,mouse etc. 3.) If you want things to go back as it used to be before covid than you should also remove seat booking and give everyone a dedicated working space but no we have to get in waiting list while booking seats andstruggle to find even a work space in office.
Here's the reason why people are unable to come to office. 1.)In last 3 years, accenture gave increment below inflation rate to 90% of the total folks. Basically we have be getting cut on our payments. 2.)Most of the people are out of the office city. Thus, either they have to stay in another city just to travel a week to the office or they travel from their hometown to the office city once a week. Both cases cost a lot of money and its pain in the ass to do so. 3.)Policies are rigid. You need to raise execption even if you want to wfh for 7-8 days. And that needs to approved my your manager, HR, and one more person. And you can't upload documents on execption portal. You meed to mail doc to HR and run around him to get it approved. WTH man! 4.)Other companies also have hybrid modal but i haven't heard about sending mail to manager for your biweekly presence in office. Like they are pressuring you and your manager to go to office even if you are sick. 5.) Office environment is dead zone. It feels depressing to see people looking like a bot, keeping their head down like in fear and doing their work.

You missed the expectation of login back after coming to home just because Accenture has given a laptop. If they want WFO stop assigning tasks after 4 PM.

My hole 1 or 2 days are getting wasted in traveling from hometown to office, and money as well, such a toxic policy, please if anyone from Senior HR Team is reading stop this policy, I am seeing most of the employees are leaving Accenture because of 1 day a week policy as they are getting it difficult,who are not based in the Accenture's office city. You should give employees the flexibility to wfo or wfh.
