Retention money in tcs
In my offer letter there is mentioned that I am getting 50k every year completed in tcs is this true ? Has anyone received it after completing 1 year in tcs?

Retention policy has mentioned in CTC from 2023 year, so guys who joined before 2023 won't see any retention policy in their CTC, and by the way they are lucky enough for not holding this money from company
You'll receive it only if it's mentioned in the offer letter. It's paid along with anniversary month's salary. For ex - I joined on 8th March 2023. I was paid the retention amount in March'24 and March'25 salary. No deductions except income tax on that.
Yes. Retention Incentive is part of your compensation. You will get every year
Yo @Brightmind if you want to keep hearing opinion then you are more than welcome, but as discussed above. The true fact is that, this policy of retaining some amount from your CTC and releasing it after you complete one year ( This keeps going on each year though) is a fact and you will get it. There is no condition to it. If some did not receive it as @CleanKitty53 mentioned then it's totally exceptional case. I have been in TCs for almost 5 years now and I have received it every year as it's my own money taken during the start of each year and released after I complete one year !
Side note: I did not get it for three years though as I was in UK (on-site)
