Retention in last week

Is it true that Tcs HRs are offering retention last week of NP if you are a critical resource so that associates will get less time to think and act.

Any thoughts?

No, this is not true. If they seriously wants to retain you then they will do so in the initial days of NP.

It's actually not last week nor the first week it depends on how quickly hr and manager can decide

I've seen 2 people getting retained in 2nd last and last week. Discussions started with them during 3rd last and 2nd last week.
