Retention bonus fucked.
The epitome of bullshit this company has thrown till now wasnt enough. This is the absolutely stupid and meaningless. All in all my 70k bonus of last years retntion is gone.
According to a new policy, my retention incentive has been discontinued and merged with Personal Allowance.
My question is the retention bonus was for the previous year so it should’ve been added to my previous year’s salary. Adding it to my coming year’s Salary means the 70k I should’ve gotten is actually gone.
People that has onboarding in June have got said bonus.
Pissed by all measures now.

They will give you the retention bonus of previous year, and for the next year the effective would be current month.
I spoke to my manager regarding this, as my anniversary will be next month and he told explained me.
Whatever is your salary it’s gonna be fulfilled.

There are two positives in this - 1. Monthly In hand salary increases 2. You have one less variable to explain to prospective employers! They cannot use this variable component for salary negotiations! Just add this to your monthly saving or start a SIP with this amount. Don’t spend it! Be wise!
