Hi folks, I am getting retained by infosys and they told me that I will get a hike around 30% but I will not be eligible for the annual hike. Is that how things work or they just don't want me to give the hikes for this year.

Ask them to share mail confirm with you based on that you can decide

Yes they will give now and hold later. It may nit be limited to just one year. The next hikes may be lesser as you will already be in higher bracket for your levels. If your current offer less than 50% better to continue here and take a bigger jump next year.
