Trending @Infosys; Retaintion Hike Percentage
In case Infosys retains me, then what percentage of the hike will it give us? Should I resign and get a hike(in case they offer) Or wait for the promotion letter and get that promotion hike? Which one is better? And if i get a promotion and then will I get retaintion hike?

If you already got promotion in less than a quarter. you won't be considered for hike.
Resign with an offer. But...
Before Resigning, Talk to your manager if she could get a hike proposal for you. The hike for retention may depend on your Job level, your manager and your hardwork so far.
Don't resign without an offer in hand, and if you do, make sure to be in good terms with your manager.

Okay. Thanks for your suggestions. Actually I've been waiting for a promotion letter for a long time, now it's time like I'm so close to getting it but also have an offer, but still want to stay in Infy, if manager try to retain me. But thinking about what's more beneficial.

Retention hike in infy has become a big joke...there is no retention hike as such. Ifcyou have a good offer then better to resign n move ahead. Already ur pkg for the next job decided so it doesn't add anything if u get hike or not here. Just see how much benefit you are getting with new offer and decide.

Please don't get retained without negotiating. Get on a call with your manager if you want to be retained and confirm what they are giving you. Once that discussion is done, just drop him/her an email for acknowledgement.
Once this process is done, then only revoke the resignation on tool.

It might vary from domain to domain but Infosys usually doesn't believe in retaining employees
