Trending @Infosys; Retain in infosys

Hi All,

Currently, I have an offer from another company (HDFC) with a 40% hike on my fixed CTC. At Infosys, my manager is trying to retain me and has mentioned that they can provide a 20–30% hike.

However, in 2024 I was put on a PIP due to a “needs improvement” rating, which I successfully cleared at that time. Now, I am considered a critical resource, and Infosys is offering me this 20–30% hike to stay.

Could you please advise whether it would be a good idea to continue here or move on?

Don't stay in toxic people which gave you NI rating. They have questioned on your talent by putting in PIP then how you are thinking to stay here?

That rating was given by previous project manager. Now im working independenty so there is some dependecy and thats the reason manager is asking to stay. Also im just scared to come out from comfort zone. Even 80% is like i dont want to stay here but want to think properly.

But ideal decision would be to move out and look better opportunity in notice period

Hey , I am not saying to stay with Infy but this is about hdfc . in hdfc , is it 5 days of working policy?
My suggestion, in 3 months of notice period you will get some other offers aswell

Don't stay and move out. Trust me if you stay back that will be your biggest mistake of life, and it will haunt and bite you back in upcoming years for sure.

If you think in hdfc you are getting good work I mean good tech stack and learning you should switch , Infosys is not even matching the offer, if you are in notice then definitely you will get more good offers

Never ever take retention no matter which you are in. They'll try to match the offered CTC but also won't consider that employee for future promotions or any other opportunities unless they run out of options.
