Resigning right after joining a new project in TCS
Hi all, I’m in TCS and was recently allocated to a new project after being on the bench. Due to some delays (like laptop allocation), I haven’t actually started work yet. I’m planning to resign next week, and my notice period is 90 days.
If I resign so soon after joining a project, how does TCS usually handle it? Will they try to hold me for the full notice period, or is there a chance they might release me earlier since I haven’t started contributing yet?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.
It depends on your skillset.. If they can get a replacement soon then yes..
Since you haven't started yet & no project wants temporary resources in these uncertain conditions so they may reduce your NP to 7-14 days.
