Resignedddd!!!

I finally resigned from TCS and my notice period ended, and I’m feeling so much better. It’s been a rough ride and honestly, it gave me quite a bit of trauma. But now I’m ready to move on and look forward to better things ahead.

Thank you. My work was monotonous and in a way that I can't learn anything from it. They asked me to join their project as a ML automation developer but they gave me a support role in a technology I never knew existed. I was not at all interested in that. I was planning to give resignation from last year itself but my friends were saying at least you are getting a salary and all. But it kept getting piled up and then I got peanuts in the increment cycle even though I was working and that too without my interest. So, the very next day I resigned.

I'm also thinking about resignation but not able to gather the courage... Joined as support engineer L0 and now it's support engineer L1 ... getting minimal call backs ..most of them are rejecting because of the long notice period. Sometimes it feels like i have wasted my 5 years

I also had the same feeling that I have wasted 2 years here. I can suggest if you are getting calls and they are rejecting because of the notice period why don't you resign and study rigorously and in the meanwhile keep applying for jobs. By the time your notice period ends, you will have 2-3 offers in hand to choose from.

Same here even though I am in a development project involving Python still finding it difficult to clear interviews for the companies that have immediate joiners

Is visiting office daily mandatory during notice period? Will they stop our resignation and extend lwd if we don't go to office during our notice period?

GigglyCupcake

I think it depends on your manager. In my case it was not mandatory, they didn't even ask if I'm coming to the office or not. But for some people managers are strict they are asking to come to the office for 5 days.

I have 2.1 years of experience and I'm still in the process of clearing my thoughts about the next plan. I'm planning to get at least 10+ in my next job.

I have completed 6 months in tcs as a fresher. After another 6 months I am planning to quit the company. Is it okay to quit the company after working only for 1 year?

GigglyCupcake

Yes, that is totally fine. If you don't like the work you are doing you can resign. I too wanted to resign after completing 1 year of my bond. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't resign sooner. Better late than never.
