Resigned- Not feeling guilty

I recently resigned from my position. During a discussion with my manager, he inquired about any job offers I had received. He mentioned considering a promotion for me this year and suggested I reconsider my resignation. Despite his efforts to persuade me, I declined each time. Eventually, he subtly insulted me, implying my place(nicha dikhane ki koshish ki). Nonetheless, I am relieved because I felt stifled and trapped in this work environment. Fortunately, I have supportive people who motivates me, unlike certain individuals in the workplace and surroundings who seek to undermine us.

I resigned, but my manager didn’t even asked anything, he just asked me to send email officially and that’s it.

@QuickwittedHavoc Or maybe his manager was asked to do cost cutting and he just appeared as an opportunity to him..😅..

After his "Nicha dikhane vala act" you are sure he wouldn't have given you promotion.. It was just a lollipop he wanted to give you.. So that you can suck it for the time being.

Hi @silent_applause, as you work here in this organization, which is why you are smart enough to know how promotion cycles and other things work. I don't think to tell you separately.

@HorribleRabbit thats y i told you bro .. that fake promise is a lollipop and nothing else... and see even if you are a manager and u cant give promotion .. there is no need "ki aap kisi ko neecha dikhao" just bcoz he has some expectation in lieu of working hard.. If you read my reply I appreciated you for doing the right thing....But I didnt understood what you replied to my comment and what does that mean 😅😅😅

The same situation happened to me. I received a B band and asked my manager why. He told me that despite my outstanding performance as a tester with zero production defects over the last two years, I didn't engage in development work, which led to the B band rating. I had also been requesting a promotion for the past year with no response. After I resigned last month, he assured me of an A band and a promotion effective from August 1st. I responded by thanking him for opening my eyes to better opportunities, and now I am looking forward to exploring new possibilities. Never trust for false promises in Promotions and Onsite opportunities.
