Resigned from TCS
I resigned from TCS on 14-05-24 and currently serving notice period, but my manager and HR both are unable to tell me my exact last working day. Moreover, they are not even able to initiate a separation from their end saying they have to access. How to deal with such irresponsible people?

Have you received an resignation acknowledgement email from HR?

Yes, it's just that my manager is toooo dumb to know how to initiate separation from his end. HR is also in same condition.

If you have received the acknowledgement that means your manager has initiated the separation request. For knowing the LWD, login to ultimatix, search for iTalent. Once you are able to access iTalent portal, click on My Inbox. There you will see your separation workflow. There would be a separate tab for exit interview, click on Exit interview tab and you should be able to see your Date of Release. This date of release is system generated.

Check in system or email the date when u have placed papers. Calculate all working days 90 days
U will get exact dates
What that u can write email to HR and mgr. Asking confirmation on the same

Basically it's 90 days including weekends right

Yes

@TrickyThump Don’t worry these dumbos just want to create more trouble for you . Similar thing they did with me here is what you can do… over your resignation email reply all by keeping your project Delivery Manager and the Manager of HR in cc . If still they do not intiate separation start keeping their Managers as well in CC. Be assured your LWD will be counted from the day you had sent resignation email.

Yes today I've sent an email taking senior managers in CC.

Now next week keep Senior manager’s Manager in cc and send a reminder . It took me 3 weeks and 4 reminder email to get separation raised in system by my Manager.

Have you got any job offer? How did you deal with notice period to get call from different companies?

I have no offer but some good opportunities, but 90 days of notice period was an issue and to overcome this long gap and to get away from toxic micro-managament here, I resigned. Hopefully, I'll be able to get more opportunities when there are less days remaining in my notice period.
dont worry, consider your 90 days.. they will follow up with you in last week like nything will complete everyrhing by themselve

Oky thank you!

Most of the managers aren't aware of the separation process. Also they have become too lazy not to initiate the process, but they will try to negotiate with you. Don't fall for their fairy tale stories. Once you made a decision, make it a final one, no turning back. If you revoke, you won't have an opportunity to resign in the next 6 months.

Sure, I am not backing off on my decision now.

They will take minimum 15 days to accept resignation, moreover don't expect early release not before 90 days

Yeah, I don't want early release either.😅

Check with your manager. Separation process has to be logged into the system by manager within a week once you drop resignation email.
Otherwise it will be a mess for you till your last day of working.

He called me yesterday on my phone saying he needed some input from my side to fill separation initiation form, but then suddenly he had to join a call and now he is neither recieving call or calling me, not even responding to email... Thank to God I am resigning from here, else I would be so depressed in next few years of my life. But why are they are ghosting me like this???

Keep following up through emails. At the end emails will help
