Resignation without offer letter
Hi all, I've been working in TCS since 2018. For 5 years I have worked for an Indian client that was a very toxic environment. Anyhow I got the project release. Now working for a European client, here I got the data engineer role, for which I'm not interested a bit. Also in TCS i haven't yet got my ITA, not even on-site, no salary hike, not even interested in a job role. But the thing is even right now I haven't got the offer letter. I wanna resign but don't have confidence about my next job. As I got to know due to many layoffs PPL is still jobless that thing makes me feel scared and under-confident, also I don't have any other source of income. Please suggest me. I'm completely blank.

Do not resign without an offer letter. The job market is tough. Apply aggressively while still employed. Financial stability is crucial. Consider risks before making any hasty decisions.

While applying do companies adjust about notice period? Like if they select and then we resign so our notice period will be 3 months. Do companies get along with this?

If you have skills they will bro be vigorous and no doubt you will get a nice company but with the exp from tcs be stipulant on ur variable pay insurance and retention bonus they should be outside your CTc expectation

Actively look for job outside and give interviews. Dont get dejected if you failed in interview. You will get interview experience , confidence and path to prepare for your next interview. Eventually you will get job.
If you hesitate and not confident to give interviews. You will be in same position !
Being said , Dont drop paper without any offer
PS: I also scared as im the only breadwinner and started giving interviews now im confident on what i need to do next to switch ✌🏻.

Get yourself ready for the new job, prepare hard and get an offer and resign. You get into that rigour and somehow get an offer and then resign. Incase you resign now and not able to crack and offer during your notice period, you ll definitely feel much low and could be bad for your physical and mental health.
This is just a suggestion. After all, you only know yourself better than anyone outside
All the very best!

Please DO NOT resign without offer letter unless you have the cash to support your family for atleast 6 months. This is till you find another job. Even this is not guaranteed.

Firstly choose a Tech track which you are interested and have handson experience and apply accordingly. There are many companies who wait for 90 days Notice period like infosys, Cognizant, accenture, etc. Once you have a offer inhand, put your Resignation. I recently put my Resignation as I got an offer
All the best

Tech track is clear...
