Can someone help me with the step by step process to apply for resignation. And do we need to get approval from manager?

After applying resignation in ECMS portal, your people manager can approve in 15 days, if no action is taken by people manager resignation will be auto approved after 15th day.

So if manager didn't approve, then after 15 days my notice period starts or from the day i apply?
