Resignation reg

Hi

I am in bench . Last Project was support project .no technical skill . Trying to move to development domain . But couldn't find project . Staying in same company for 5 years with no hike . Is it ok to attend other companies with no Dev handson . Or shall I resigned now to attend them ? Many companies asking for immediate joiner but my programming skill is below average. I am the only bread winner of my family . What will be the best option

Don’t resign without an offer in hand. Currently the market is not good. Utilise the bench period by Learning a skill in 1-2 months and put a real time project in your resume and start giving interviews.

Yes learn one programming languages or framework to be precise and then do a small project but it should be end to end and then start applying
