Resignation letter

Iam planning to resign this month. Waiting for the offer letter. Shall I drop a mail directly to manager. Whom should I CC? Also for not burning the bridges, should I first tell my manager that I will drop the papers before official resignation.

If you are sticking to your decision of leaving any communication or bridges can be as cool and simple as stream water, enjoy the events. Now... Send email to your manager first and cced your immediate supervisor and mention the date of resignation should be counted from the date you send the email as well. That's all. Enjoy the notice period as the best boy in the class.

I got released from the project and I am on bench and I want to resign. Do I need to serve notice period then also?

Basically ending things not on a very positive note. Usually people who leave an organisation likes to maintain a healthy relationship post switch too as u need experience letter etc from organisation and also it's ethical to do so. So burning the bridge is basically not caring much for maintaining a good note.

It's not about burning the bridges infact it's a good practice to first inform your manager and than resign. I also did the same first informed my manager and than resigned on same day last month.

Yes, first inform your manager and then drop email for resignation. That would be good.

Inform your manager before dropping papers. That would be a better way out of the situation.
