I worked in TCS for 2 years and due to package issue i need to find other opportunity and decide to resign from TCS. Is it correct decision or if we comapare work life balance at TCS and at other companies I have to compromise with package and stay here only. Please suggest.

Work life balance might have been good earlier but seeing current scenario don't think TCS has work life balance either. So better to prepare hard and leave asap

I was unallocated and recently got project. They are training me on new tech. I am planning to resign after 3 months. Will they accept my resignation ? or they will say I have trained you now you should serve for 1 year in project .

There is no wlb in tcs now..i have resigned too...in the name of wlb they are making us lazy and less skilled, sufficient in less...so please don't ruin your career here initially it would be tough but get out from here and learn skills because as soon as your experience grow you will become lazy and will satisfied in less...which is dangerous.

There is no work life balance left after the mandatory RTO. And even if there was any, there will still be some hectic schedule now and then, so better to move out and atleast get paid enough to do the same amount of work.

Dont resign without an offer, if you have an offer from a defent org go ahead and resign

May i know are you from computer science background or Non IT ?

I have selected the worst case scenario

If i put myself in your position considering my years of experience- graduated from Non IT background and sole bread winner in my family

I will proritise skills over money for next few years -

First i will develop my IT Skills based on my interest . I will build my portfolio according to the current market demand ( which will take time )

Give more hands on coding practice and start to do projects

Then give more interviews then switch over with skill + good package.

Work life balance is based on project and manager / management

If you have got one i suggest do the above.

If its very toxic and hard to sustain i chose mental health over money .

So it depends.

Your decision was correct but before resignation first get an offer then you can resign happily why because outside the scenario was very bad.
