Trending @Infosys; Resignation after withdrawing resignation

I had to withdraw my resignation on my last working day due to personal reasons and a number of approvals including my manager's approval was required for that. Now I have got a very good opportunity within next 10 working days and I would like to resign again. But my manager is threatening that he would release me on the same day or he would reject that rightaway. Can he write bad remarks at my release letter ? Or, can they block the full and final settlement etc. ? Can anyone please suggest ?

Don't think about anyone, think about yourself and take a call. At the end, you will think best for you but not the company. If the offer is best and changes your career and life then go for it..

Everyone is selfish here for their own reasons. So you can have your own reasons too

Be ethical to your company, don't resign again.

Your manager did a great thing, atleast work for an year or so and then leave, if it is not about ethics then it’s your choice

What ethics if the company is non ethical?

The manager can't do anything. People who are providing advice on he ethical and all remember one thing these guys won't come forward to feed your family. You're the one who's in charge. Now think in some other way - if the company decides to cut down on budget and if the company thinks you're a risky resource the axe falls on you. Corporate is no one's friend.

If you're having a better offer and you think this will satisfy you in the long run put down the papers. The manager doesn't own the organization.

They can't put bad remarks. Max they do is a don't rehire. And there are tons of companies you don't need to return to this shithole.

When a new company does a BGV, they just verify employment data as to if the employment was genuine. Mostly it is done via EPFO data. This is not school that they'll go to HR for asking how's your conduct. Until and unless you do not violate any company policy you're safe.

they won't mention anything bad on the release letter. so simply resign and move on.. company itself doesn't care much about employees so... join another company , do your work, get paid and sleep

U can resign nothing will happen .. they can’t do anything .. Just like you he’s another employee out of 3 lakh employees. He’s no body

Just imagine you not having an offer and yiur manager not accepting your withdrawal and letting you face financial issues . He accepted your withdrawal and now you want to resign in 10 days while technically there is nothing wrong but morally this is very wrong. Technically your manager can’t do much but can make you stay the whole 3 months. And if your offer is based on immediate joining you will lose it. Yes he can out do not rehire so that you are black listed in infosys but nothing more than that he can do.

I will say initiate seperation and then see. Ideally I would have initiated seperation and then I would inform manager about it.
