Resignation Acceptance

I resigned last month, but was not receiving any communication from HR. After following up with HR for many days finally they sent me resignation acknowledgement mail where my resignation date has been mentioned just 3 days ago from today. Whereas I have resigned at least 1 month back. I have asked HR to correct it but she did not respond. What can I do?

This organization doesn't even have a dedicated portal for resignation. These cases are bound to happen. Draft a formal email and sent it to your manager l1,l2 with HRBP(with their l1,l2). And make sure you attach the original email of resignation in the attachment(hope you have sent this in email). Follow up on this email everyday until you get a desired response. Hope this helps.

Tcs does have a dedicated portal to report resignation. It's iTalent

It will reflect in ITalent only after HRBP completes workflows from their side and this is having issue because of this government HR department, causing manual errors by not taking actions. If dedicated portal would have been there people wouldn't be suffering this much. There are portals of useless things in ultimatix but nothing is there for resignation. My friend had to meet HR 1 week continuously to get the workflow completed.

Last working date should not be mentioned in acknowledgement mail.. It will be mentioned in resignation acceptance mail which you will be get in 20 days in your last month of notice.. Check with your HR properly...

@sky10 Well bro . I think one should mention Date of resigning and last working day while sending resignation email to Manager and HR... Will help you in future for sure clearly stating when u resigned and till when you will be serving notice period... Worked like a charm for me... Ur Notice period starts as soon as you send the email.. not after they acknowledge it.😂

@sky10 bro ,could we mention LWD 1 week before the actual date while sending resignation email or should we mention 90 days and later ask manager/ hr for early release

@BlueMarble don't worry
Your resignation date must be considered from the date you have sent mail to your manager. Your manager must have forgotten to report it in iTalent on time. HR can backdate it from the backend. If the HR executive is not responding,loop his/her manager to seek a response.Attach the original resignation email while doing so.

I don't understand what is wrong with managers and HR here in TCS. Why don't they respond to associates mail. Such a bad attitude and unprofessionalism by seniors in tcs

Maybe they take time,wait for a week then resend your old resignation mail as a date proof to HR again and ask them to correct it. If still the same then forward it to her supervisor
