When would my client side manager know about it ,in how many days after I send resignation in TCS?

It depends on the client, mostly whatever the np in your client company has, company inform them accordingly, like my client has 30 days NP so when my colleague left the client side manager got to know when 30-35 days were remaining.

Mostly TCS manager won't inform as soon as you put down your papers. After two month they will be notified. Because HR will ask whether you want to stay or leave. If you want to stay then they will first internally ask your reason for leaving. If TCS manager cant process your onsite he will not say anything but will update the HR that nothing is possible from our end. Then HR will immediately send you an separation email where it will have all the sign off process.
Keep in mind once you take your paper get by getting the lollipop. There is a cooldown period of 6 month to resign again. All the best for your future.

Are you employee of TCS or client? See what are the formalities across TCS side. Nowadays things are going bitter side. Once you are release from the project rmg will not assign you any project for 1 month, they will not look at you. Hr will clearly say RMG is not allowing us to keep you.

You can talk to your client and tell him/her personally that you resigned .

Isn't that violating any policy? What consequences will this have?

How does it matter ? If you think you have a good reputation with your client then your client will not tell directly to your manager about your resignation instead he/she will try to highlight you and will try to show your importance and when the time comes (when she gets to know from proper channel)she /he will say it loud i want this guy at any cost

Do not, under any circumstances, discuss your resignation with the customer without prior approval from your manager. Customer should be notified via proper channel.
