Resign without Offer letter
Hi all, I am working as a java production support engineer for past 3.8 years in a BFSI project. It is a legacy project with no growth and toxic environment. Im trying to switch to java spring boot developer role. But not able to get the calls due to 90 days NP.
I am planning to resign by this month end. Is it advisable to resign this month end or Should I once the band is received and compensation letter is released. Please advice

Wait for the compensation letter. It will be out by 7th April. Think of it this way: For the next 3-4 months your performance can be bare minimum & no one will say anything. Use this time to do more and more preperation. To be honest, if you throw a rock at a tech park then there is a 90% chance it will hit a java developer. Sorry I don't mean to demoralise you but there are a lot of Java folks. Since you will put papers without offer so you will need to be in a BEAST mode.

Thanks for your reply.

Don't put paper without an offer letter.Situation is not so good for a current job market.

As far as I understand, if you are well qualified there are companies who will wait for 90days. Or as suggested by @TCS_Rocks, utilise next 20-30 days in upskilling, maybe your revised compensation will motivate you to reach the "BEAST" mode.

Okay sure. Thank you for the advice

I'm also planning for the same. Resigning after band release. Im happy with the project and technology. But salary is the concern.

Personally, I would suggest, get the hike. Leverage the hike to get better offers. Meanwhile put in your papers. I am pretty confident seeing your motivation you would get a good package or atleast better work if your goal is growth. During the 90 days notice unskill and attend interviews then switch. Go for it believe in yourself. Don't fall into the trap of YoE and comfort zone.
