Can I resign while on sabbatical/LWP leave? For example, if I've taken a two-month sabbatical but midway through I realize I can no longer handle the situation and decide to resign after one more month, would I need to serve a notice period of three months after returning from sabbatical (making it a total of four months including the sabbatical), or would the notice period of three months include the remaining one month of my original sabbatical leave? Essentially, is it a total of three months or four months including the sabbatical? please suggest asap if you know anything about it.

yes if it is medical for other reasons no need like family issues anything
Please suggest..I have to go through some planned surgery.. it may take a month to recover.based on that will company give 6 months sabbatical? Or shall I give any other reason?

If ur under Sabbatical leave and resign means they will release you immediately . Ask them clearly are they going pay the 3 months salary or not . If not then they will release immediately
