Resign after PIP

If someone is on PIP then if they resign how long will be their NP or will they be released immediately.

As far as I know, if your manager doesn't like you,they will release you to the bench and you pick up a new project. Is the case you know of any different?

If I’m in PIP and put down my papers, will I still have to serve 90 days of notice period? I don’t mind serving it as I can just upskill and face interviews in those 90 days.
