Rescue Efforts Intensify for Trapped Workers in Telangana Tunnel

• The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are making progress in the rescue operations at the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel in Telangana.
• Eight workers are feared trapped inside the tunnel due to debris blocking the area, making it difficult to confirm their exact location.
• NDRF Deputy Commandant Sukhendu Datta reported that the team has covered around 13.5 kilometers inside the tunnel using locomotives and conveyor belts.
• The last 200 meters of the collapsed section is completely blocked by debris, hindering the rescue efforts.
