Remote Job vs MNCs vs Indian StartUps

Guys, What's will you choose between these

  1. A remote job that pays in USD (but not according to US criteria of course, but good enough to beat most/all startup salaries in India). ESOPs may/may not be offered. If working for a blockchain company, some cryptocurrency tokens might/might not be offered.

  2. Top MNCs like FAANG etc (3 days office, 2 days WFH mostly) Good salary, ESOPs etc

  3. Good Indian StartUps like Zomato, Zepto etc

Let's play around 😌 What do you guys prefer?

I wonder why there are so few votes on MNCs. 🤔 that's surprising

They're definitely the dream for many but the layoffs in the last few years have probably spooked people to a great extent.

Doing this plus 5 more hours with an EU-based firm. But good luck if you have close team members in time zones ahead of you (HK/Singapore). That would mean around a 12-15 hour work window few days a week.
Getting past that mindset of being available/switched on 24*7 is essential here.

So you are doing full time + part-time job? Did i understood it correctly?

95/100 remote companies that hire in India will use a location based compensation formula and it still beats best offers in country but this will most likely come at an expense for your sleep ergo off hours (peak collaboration hours)

In MNCs bell and whistles are there but with that comes a lot of politics and if you can keep your head down, its a good deal.

Indian startups are toxic but hide that under the facade that we’re ‘dynamic’. Pay is obviously good but will mentally drain you.

My take, early in career with no responsibilities-> you have the liberty to choose a remote startup and try to acquire a lot of capital.

As you take on more responsibilities like caring for parents, marriage, becoming a parent yourself, you can leverage your remote/startup experience you move to a Faang type mnc where its stable compared to prev stints

Thats my two cents, can and will most likely be not an ideal answer

There are lot of companies..I even got a job offer from them , but it is like a contract and they pay in USD but obviously pay scale is Indian. Also they won't deduct taxes since they don't have any registered entities in India , you have to pay taxes
You would be like a freelancer.

Yep...that's true. You will be an "Independent Contractor" on paper, however it's full time role.
