Relocated to India, found a good job but getting cold feat at thought of moving to Bangalore

It is going to be a bit of rant, and I apologize in advance. I know a lot of people are struggling, things are not ideal for people, so my feelings might seem trivial. But here it goes.

I came back to India in August, wanted to be closer to parents in 70s. I spent 10 peaceful days with them, and then started job search. Had to re-align my profile, spent 12 to 14 hours of day in studies + interview and but found a well suited and highly paid job but they want me to immediately move to Bangalore. All this time, given the market I was really desperate to get a job but now I am having cold feat.

Everything seems a bit tough now, dunno. Finding a house in Bangalore where I don't know anyone. Day-to-day activities which were much easier in developed world. I had returned to India before but then I was living at home fully remote due to COVID lockdown.

The feeling of just opening door and seeing parents is so calming. In desperation of getting a job, now I feel I missed some moments with them. They can come with me, but till I don't have a home, a car it would be difficult for them due to their age. so dunno.

Sorry for the long rant.

Negotiate with this company, that it will take you 2-3 months to plan & move to Bangalore, but you can start working remotely till then from your hometown.

If they agree, this will solve your immediate problem of being jobless. During these 2-3 months of remote work, keep searching for other opportunities in parallel, and switch once you find a permanent remote job, or a job in your hometown. Then you can continue to stay with your parents permanently and work.

Good luck! 👍

I live in a tier 3 city in india. I am non IT engineer, specifically for my field 90% of jobs are in Bangalore . I never appreciated the covid time but 2 years permanent remote, living with parents before I left india again.
