Released from project in Sep end... Mail says start looking for project in advance. RMG is discuss on nexI process.

I received this email on 14th Aug evening. As of now, my project is due to golive from Oct, so release was expected. What took me by surprise was the text in email saying 'formal review meeting will.be scheduled soon to discuss the progress of your project allocation efforts'. Looks like I am on my way out. Felt very sad, did not know how to break the news to.my wife and my teen aged son due to.appear for his boards next year. Yet mustered the courage to break the news. There was sudden calm with everyone, no one said anything, but each one of has started to forsee what is coming in next few months.

I have been in TCS for 10+ yrs, hold PMP, SAP certs, AI/ML cohort course of 6 months from reputed institute, SAFe certs... managers never approved any costs for this certificates or even cared for it. Once I was a project managerial role account role my delivery head misbehaved so badly with me during appraisals that from next assignemt onwards I stopped bothering about appraisal band, role, to which ISU I belonged, hardly spoke with anyone apart from project related work activities... just stopped mingling. ... and now I see this email!

Years of average apprisals has simply left me to be in poor financial condition now. I am in my late 40s.

I have seen too many bad examples, practices, processes in the org... will one day publish them as blogs... people will get shocked to know things!

Suddenly, I find too.many emails asking me to do this course, that certification, etc etc ... of I am on my way out, why bother to do any course/certification any further!

I hope I am able to leave the org, in a respectable way.

PS: On my way, preparing to lock horns with these tcs managers again, but next time we will be on the other side of the fence, and promise to repay back them in same coin. Anyways, I am now on the receiving end now

Please sir let us be aware of all bad examples and practices so we can take wise decision. Please help us with more info

Think of the worst that can happen... do not get swayed by Tata's brand and novelty as advertised. There are ppl as cunning as foxes roaming rhe corridors of the buildings... just talk/think of costs at every work you do, talk with seniors/managers on those lines ... hours of effort, cost per hour of effort... your seniors will fall in place.

So some basic things:
a)there is no need to conduct trainings, any requirement analysis for non project related actovoty, presentation for free or merely for 300/500 gems... if they have give any gems it should 5000/10000 gems at least. It has become the habit of managers to get wotk cheaply done. If they say, once the project comes you will be onsite, say you are not interested in onsite....so, give me my credit in gems. b) Client visit offshore: folks so gleefully enact skits, present dance show, musicians and singers rock the stage ... stop all that ... have you ever seen any manager doing any of these acts... neither do you get any benefit in apparisals. c) Stop logging efforts of Purpose of life, Fit for life, run tcs marathon etc etc ... you are giving away your personal data to the org. why is the org interested to know about your personal data? c) stop doing those nonsensical courses in iEvolve ... they are time wasters... keep it limited to doing only the mandatory courses ...when one visits RMG for your next assignment none of those listes skills/certifications matters.

of one is able.to recollect Wings initiative had nothing of AI/ML learning in the beginning when the entire world was already trying to.learn and upskill (introduced ot much later ), and HRs who designed that course gleefully took away the credit (salary) for next l4/5 yrs ... one of them is retiring happily after putting the entire workforce on peril without any preparedness for AI/ML knowledge... and suddenly the organization wakes up to AI and finds workforce is not in sync with market trends ... all have outdated skills ... so sack them! d) stop talking/interaction with peers except for project business related matters/work ... save your time/utilize it for activities outside of office. Find friends beyond colleagues to entertain yourself. e) most things in workplace ia designed to waste your time and get you busy, so that one is not aware of market tends/of the outside world ... it is designed in that way to keep you away from reality of the market trends. TCS will give you a comfort zone to forget your skills, your good habits, etc ... so be on guard. f)Never get into anything / raise concern with Ethics committee, and other similar bodies that exist... they are a bunch of lawyers ... one will get into mental madness answering their queries for months on end without any outcome!

Just gave away the broad guidelines!

I am still not understanding how the hell an employee can find a project or a role by himself or herself

Like there is no online portal where u can see open postions

No place to directly contact anyone except RMG and RMG himself asks u also try to find the project like how??

hearing that even if one finds a project, RMG is not giving clearance to get tagged into the project !

I think there is a portal where we can find open positions. It might not have all the openings that RMG has access to, but the portal is there.

I can understand your condition. After giving your best effort and time in return you are treated like that. I was thinking of sending my CV for 2 openings related to my profile. But, nw have decided will do it today without wasting any time. Be strong 💪 man I am sure better times will come.

Same my case , for saving their boot lickers they scapegoat me , still asking for work from unallocated WON. all doors closed for C3B and above. Gone simply gone, trying for new job is difficult al of sudden but not impossible....I'm on the way to find new one soon hopefully.. But again TCS saving junk and loosing talent for sure..

Soon they pay huge price.

nope... none of my team members have received it... and me beign their lead... what an epic humiliation!

TCS need to taught a lesson for treating everyone as resources and not humans! I have nor seen such a filthy language used for consultants.

I think you are overthinking it. I don't think this is part of firing process, you may get a chance also.
