Release Info Required.
Hi all,
I want to request for a release from the current process (6years) as it’s now becoming stagnant.
Whenever i speak to my manager about the release he says he cant release me directly as release from support role is not possible.
As per him i’ll have to leave my manual tester position and take a analyst role (tier1) in the process and then wait on the release list, which is currently at 6 months of wait time.
Any help or guidance on how can i request for a release directly.

That's bs. In 5 years, I've worked on 4 projects. Although only the first was a support role in govt account.
Anyway, you can mail HR and other senior members, Delivery Manager and such. Cite some 'valid' reason.
Without a reason, it might be difficult.
Best thing is to put down your papers..You can raise a grievance in ultimatix , as Managers don’t want their trained billable resources to move to other projects..
You can directly talk with HR and TD team with your aspirations. Your manager will release you in 15-30 days Max to max
