Release from Project

I joined UK based Insurance project recently where there are huge work pressure and the team is connected remotely so the help is also limited and only way to connect is teams. I am finding difficulty to work here because without proper explanation and KT it's feeling overwhelming. Should I ask for a release or stick with it with my stress on. Any suggestions please.
