Release from project

Need help/suggestions. I am asking for a release ( valid reason)from the project after completion of 2 years. But the manager is not responding to me keep delaying HR is not responding to me

It all depends on your manager if he wants he can remove you from project within a month if he wants to keep you he will keep you waiting for decades
