Hi guys, Currently I'm working on a support project. I'm unable to further develop my new skills and also suffering from health issues due to different shifts while working on this project. I sent mail to my manager to release me from the project a month ago, and she asked me to share my profile by replying over it, and I have shared it. Since then I haven't gotten any response on that, and I have not followed up yet because my other colleagues in the same account are telling me that there are no projects in the CG; stick to the current project and stay in that itself. Please share your honest opinion or suggestions. I'm open to any suggestions.
Same issues have face last year…now got released from project currently I’m in bench for 1.5month….most of the project manager called and asked me to wait for their update but no one answered. My reply to you is , search job outside here no one will support
I heard that a person who had a project before cannot be on bench for more than a month is that true? Like what are the consequences of being on bench after taking a release from a project
Actually I can't switch because I don't have great skills because I worked in support, just have knowledge on different tools that don't take me anywhere.
There is no way to get release from the project by ourselves. It's good that your manager asked your profile but it doesn't mean that she will share your profile to release you from her project. HR will never respond if you try to reach out to them. Keep upgrading your skill at your own pace and once you make up your mind, put up your papers. One tricky thing you can do is that, stop doing your work or delay your work, they will definitely release you! There is a worst management in CG.

I am in the same situation too . I was lied that the project was support come development it took me 6 months to realise that it was completely support. When i see my friends on bench who joined with me i feel it's better to be in some project atleast but its not gonna take us anywhere . I am thinking of asking a release from the project soon but in my BU there is no great dev projects its all networking and support. I am also confused
Same with us too. All the dev teams have been removed in June month due to client budget , mostly all of them are on the bench now.
