I want to request a release from my current project, and I’m looking for advice on how to approach my manager about this.
My manager previously mentioned that I would be promoted and that they would nominate me in the upcoming Q1 cycle. However, there’s been no update yet. I’m unsure whether I should continue in the project and wait for the promotion, or go ahead and request a release.
How can I have a constructive conversation with my manager to understand my situation better and make the right decision?
Promotions are very tight now in Cognizant. Some of the leads in my project where discussing to release promotion eligible PA’s and take Genz’s for cost cutting.If your manager had discussed about promotions you can very well set up call with him and request a concrete update. If not getting proper response politely ask for a release
