Trending @Wipro; Release after 18 months

I have completed my 18 months in the current project and as per policy I am eligible for the rotation or get the different project. But I have discussed with my manager he won't allow me release and give an improper reason like " you have not learned anything in a current project. " So Whom should I reach out now as they are making employee life hell as not following their own policy.

If I get a new project should the manager have the ability to stop me.

Any suggestions guys .

Manager can hold the release for next 6 months.

But proper reason right. He asking me to stay 1 more years in the project. But I don't want to waste 1 year again.Should I take to my HR once.

Yes, you can check with HR. But as per my understanding manger can hold request for 6 month without any reason. So if you planning change you can initiate request now itself, mostly manager will reject the request but you can move to next project once you have completed 6 months. If you don't want wait try it outside.

Your manager has to approve your release

It only depends on the manager then even if we have the project as well. So he Will create difficulty to get released right.

Actually your manager response is not the right one. If you are not learning anything from 18 months, why he needs you? Because you are a critical resource to him. My suggestion is don't leave the current project. Because the market is very bad

You can also go through IJP ,watch out for the current openings at Wipro.
Apply for the position you are interested in, you can also reach out directly to the project manager mention I'm the post.

Connect to your HR as well.

Reach out to the HR or drop a mail to the manager asking for release from the project with the reason and loop in Delivery Manager .
