Regards bench Notice period

Hi all, If I am getting released from the project this week and will be on the bench next week. If I resign, then RMG will give me early release or still have to serve a 90 day notice period. I have 6 years experience in TCS. Over the years, they have not promoted me even to an IT Analyst. Just moved from project to project, whenever I pitched for promotion. Now I look at my finances, feel so disappointed. Does some face the same situation? What steps they take in current situation.
