Trending @Accenture; Regarding Return to office

We’ve been advised to visit the office on Tuesdays as a team. I’d like to understand whether this is mandatory as a team activity, or if individual preferences are allowed—as long as each of us is in the office one day a week.

I asked my supervisor about a possible change for the upcoming week, and he responded by asking me to send an email to both him and the manager. Personally, this feels a bit unnecessary and overly formal for a minor adjustment.

Can someone in the forum—preferably those in roles above Team Lead—clarify the expectations around this?

I too had a similar manager. she used to behave very bossy, thank god my experience was just 2 years less to her, so I wasn't treated that much worse but I felt so pity for the ase and se. They had to listen to a lot of taunts too. Always wanted leave application over mail, joining office one hour late then also mail. Too much of micro management. Recently my people lead changed and it feels so good working under her. Just need to mention on teams that I will be on leave today. That's it.

My supervisor tends to behave quite immaturely, which makes it difficult to take him seriously. For instance, when we plan to take leave, he insists that we request it with a formal email stating the reason, rather than simply informing him like in other teams. My friends in other projects just send a brief note that they’ll be on leave, and that’s accepted. It feels like he expects us to constantly act submissive toward him, which is frustrating.

its not mandantory. this is personal choice to when we wanted to visit office and we should compliant with once in a week visiting office.
