@Boss3 - Firstly, I don't get it, why it's 3 just because of RTO non compliant. I have been non compliant for 4 months June - September 2025, and still got 4.13 IPF rating. And my manager first tried to instill fear by saying rto non compliant won't even get appraisal, you have to face consequences.

I simply said, can you show me the policy where it is stated that being RTO non compliant will lead to appraisal impact, he quickly responded, no it's from HRs and they shared to managers officially this communication.

I said, okay, that makes sense, but if it was shared to managers, why wasn't i informed, i thought managers are supposed to share information to their team, and he was like see, I have been telling you and the team and you never listened, it's not my fault that you are not active in team meetings.

Now the discussion went on for a bit heated, but at the end he got the picture that I'm ready to reach out to hrs/senior management if I'm being treated unfair, so he just have me average rating.

Bro, the point here is to first have a open communication, I don't know if you are aware, but managers are given some criteria that in team you can only give 1 people A band (on same level, career level), 2 B band, something like that, it's already fixed based on team size, they do this due to budget.

All you have to do is stay calm and try to make sense of it, even if your manager says there is wfo non compliant impact, you simply ask him okay, but may I know how much can it impact my rating? Can it reduce 0.2 IPF rating or directly reduces 2 IPF out of 5? And ask him to share it on email, that's when things start blurring.

The truth is, in the company everyone is an employee, a manager, HR, even CEO, politics are everywhere and you just have to ask enough questions so that know where you can take this.

Even an HR will be very careful in communication, because he knows anything he writes or states on email can be escalated to senior HR of it doesn't stated in policy.

So end of day, my simple suggestion, ask yourself does it logically make sense to you to get 3 rating just because of wfo non compliant, it's okay to get 3 if you didn't perform well, and got bad client feedback.

Comeon man, be it a year's worth rating, or whatever, just try to make sense of it, and if it doesn't ask, the only thing you got to lose is time, which you are anyway losing by thinking sooo much, asking friends, etc.

You will anyways not be getting an appraisal increment. With 3.0 rating the band might actually do to d.

Mostly you will get C/D but also keep pip in mind, Luckily if you got C then also new compensation letter won't be released for you due to non compliance
