Recruitment Scam

Hi All, I'm looking for a Job Change and I want to share a recruitment scam which I've noticed in past 10 days. So that it can be helpful for other job seekers.

You will get calls from "so called HR" consultancies, they explain about the Job role and try to get your details like DOB, PAN. I do agree some companies ask for these details while applying for Job.

So, I asked the first HR to drop an email with the JD, so that I'll share my PAN over email. But there is no response after that...

Today I received a similar call, I asked HR to drop an email with the JD, so that I'll share my PAN, but the HR sent email from a Gmail Address, when I call back, he said their official company email has some issues. So the Head HR dropped email from personal email Id.

Guys, beware of these frauds, don't share your DOB and PAN/Aadhar num over call.

Firstly, what I have learned from my job hunting experience is that when a HR contacts you, it is mostly or completely to let you know about the position, expectations, your notice and any other offers in hand. I think it a big red flag if they ask you beforehand about your PAN/Aadhar/DOB details. NEVER SHARE! Why we Indians are so careless about our privacy?!
