Recommendations for those on projects to avoid unwanted release.

We have heard about releasing billable associates to bench for margin. Although we don't know the exact criteria to release billable to bench, here are a few recommendations to reduce probability. It will take 6-12 months for this situation to settle down.

  1. Delivery on time without defects. Double check before delivering.

  2. Project yourself as critical resource. Being good is not good enough, show that you are good.

  3. Attend office daily. Maintain monthly average hours based on your unit. Even though 85% attendance is needed for QVA, try for 100% from now on.

  4. Do training in iEvolve every month. There are many E1 that are easy to get.

  5. Fill speed every month.

  6. Make sure you are complaint to mandatory courses.

  7. If you ever have to work long hours or on a weekend for emergency issues, then make sure you are showcasing yourself.

  8. Improve yourself by upskiling. Showcase that you have up skilled.

Short version. Be complaint. Improve yourself. Showcase yourself.

Sorry to say. Upskilled won't work. You learn something and you won't get a project in that stream. Then they will release the associate whenever they want and that time the learning would have no relevance. Management don't care about you. It's just revenue revenue and revenue. Your career aspirations are like of no relevance. Another thing the moment one Unskills and showcase his skills with expectation of some recognition, that will not be recognised or appreciated. But your skills will be perceived as threat to the existence of the Management and from then starts the actual problem. All options will be explored to kick you out. To continue here you don't have to learn big things. Just be yes boss like and don't be a threat to the Management. That's all required. If anyone thinks that they need to learn, Upskill themselves for better position, onsite opportunities, then those should be waiting for surprise. Onsites won't be given to hardworking, skilled people. Skilled people work and someone else takes the opportunity. What exactly happens is, associate slogs to get opportunities, but at the end he will be thrown out after his usability ends. Then Management will dangle same carrot to others and get the work done and then throw him out too. The cycle continues. Only yes boss kind of people stay and get everything, including repeated on sites, promotions.
