Recent steps to terminate people who have been on bench for too long - Love it! Need to clear the kachra of tcs.
Just an opinion. Lol.

I was also thinking same but reality is different many peoples want projects but they are not getting chance as per their skill sets. It's a RMG's fault as per me RMG's are useless.

Soo many comments for unallocated associates but there are many genuine cases where people are not getting chance due to their constraints. I can tell my scenario I was 6 months pregnant when my manager told they had released me (I was not aware we had to fight back then as I had worked in that project for 1.8 years when I needed them they discarded me). Then began my RMG reporting journey. Since I needed allocation for 2 months no project was willing to take me . I was actively searching for projects also taking all calls getting selected in multiple projects but finally they would reject me once I told them my situation. All these days were piling up as unallocated for me. Then came my 6 months maternity leave post that I joined back . My base location was different and my home town in entirely 2 different states 1500kms apart so I requested for transfer which they rejected stating once I get allocated then only the transfer will be approved. The irony is 90% calls which I have got was location based . I needed to report there all 5 days. And some people will say you could get wfh exception HR will approve it until my baby turns 1 years but its just theoretical. None of this is practically implemented I was not taken by any project because of base location constraints and few Managers told me they are not sure if HR will approve my situation. Hence finally after 1 more month of being unallocated I had to forcefully take LWP of 5 months. Its very easy to target someone without knowing the story . Its not that people would not be trying few might be there but not all

If some people willing don't take projects those should face this but for some people of the project calls itself doesn't come then it is unfair with them.

It’s the fault of RMG that they are not able to allocate people and it is causing issues to everyone.
Secondly all of them are fellow tcs associates who have got selected with the same process as you calling them kachra is not fair.
Thirdly, removing them will benefit the remaining that’s totally impossible. There won’t be any added benefits for you.

I love it as well. Why waste money on people sitting idle on the bench. If you are not working, just leave - straight as an arrow. At least that way, company may think of increments for those who actually work hard for their livelihood.

They are not working cause they are not assigned any assignment.

I know it's good for the overall working culture to remove these so called kacharas, but if we are expecting added benefits for employees post these then we are in complete denial. Upper management won't even bother, they will keep on munching the lower associates

35 days is not good. Genuine people will get targeted. For wilful possibly a move any company would want.

So more than 150+ unallocation days people are in Danger......

I get to interview people for automation testing .very rarely we are able select one or two out of somany. Those in bench need to update their skillset soon in current trends
