Received Gems but not appraisal or Promotion
This is my 5times that I received gems for exellent feedback but not received good appraisal (A band) or Promotion, I have 9 year of experience and still have C2 band, I tried to discuss about my promotion from my superviser but she only say it depends on higher management. Is there any process in tcs specific for promotion to follow?
Gems, appreciation nothing is related to promotion.
If your manager decides to promote, he will. Whatever criteria that he decides, thats the criteria.
"Depending on higher management" is just usual excuse.
Okay, what should I do for getting promote, I definitely sure my manager is not showing any interest in my promotion even after giving proper reason behind it. Please help me if you have any idea, I am becoming demotivate in tcs in today's, and it seems there is no hope except to search job again for better growth.
If it is of any consolation, i am in the same situation as you. C2 , 9+ YOE.
I have mentally accepted that my manager wont give me a promotion. I do bare minimum work.
