Reality of 30 LPA package of bangalore start-ups

It seems a big number and many students starts dreaming to join such startup. But the reality is they give a huge stocks to make the number big. In this 30 LPA, actual base salary will be around 10-15 lpa, which is even less than half of total CTC. Many students fall in this trap and think 30/12 lakhs will be the salary. They also have a bonus, which is perfomance based(hence they decide not to give).

So the actual salary is 10-15 LPA, not 30 LPA. I've fallen for one such startup who offered 32 LPA package which had 12 lakhs stocks, 4 lakhs bonus and remaining 16 LPA was actual salary. And they were toxic as hell, I was thinking to resign and they laid me off. I'm happy leaving them but I wish no freshers go there.
