Real-estate in touristic locations

I have decided not to buy a house in metro city rather I would like to buy a place in some hill station or beach view. Been exploring Goa but it's super hyped. 1bhk is more than a crore in North Goa now. I feel the prices are already at the peak and I'm late to the journey. Any other location that is affordable? What's next Goa? Any thoughts? Any experienced buyer, how are you managing the property?
