Ravisutanjani Kumar aka Indian Mike Ross
Fintech influencer seems to have faked his entire educational background. Instead of IIIT he studied at ITI. Anyone have more tea on him? https://twitter.com/SatarkAadmi/status/1701565930650706306?s=19

Good stuffs. I went through the tweet. What a shame that all those fakeness got destroyed in a thread.

Noticed anything odd about him then?

Yeah, he is blocking everyone who is interacting with this thread. After all he has to hide it from his 100K+ followers

I kinda like his growth trajectory ngl.
Imagine being able to make it as a VP in a Mumbai form within 10 years of starting out from Mirzapur with an ITI degree.
Reminds me a lot of ex-Byjus Sales Bigshots who came up and made lakhs scamming/selling courses to people with nothing but pure grit

What I have learnt though is that titles mean jack shit at startups. Have seen some startups offer VP titles for folks with 1-5 years of work experience too. Some VC firms also give some analysts with 2 years of work experience the title of ‘Partner’!

You sure those title are correct?
Even I can put VP at Grapevine

Apparantly he is being followed by some big name so he keep tweeting similar stuffs to be in good terms.

Yes, yes. Followed by the PM, Was retweeted by Anand Mahindra etc

Yeah, but what I had noticed is that since he's being followed by the PM, he has to pander to their ideology and stuff. He came into my Tl very recently when he was trying to communalise the K'taka Vehicle Govt scheme. Just some days back went through his tl and got an idea about his profile.

Do startups not do background checks before hiring?
Because writing on Linkdin is one thing but getting jobs based on fake degrees is another game.

Someone with so many followers will make any company (even bigger ones like IBM and Infosys, not just a startup) believe that this guy is legit.

Yeah but on Twitter a user called Gabbar had posted that this guy was fired from the startups as the founders felt that things are not working with him.

Had met him when he was working at Testbook before he blew up on the app formerly known as Twitter

What was he like?

It’s still called twitter, the logo changed not the name

Who is this nobody?

Really don't understand how people fell for this guy. Someone like me with not much knowledge of finance, could see he was just BSing a lot. How did so many get influenced to actually pay for his courses?

Calling him Mike Ross is like giving him too much importance. Mike Ross was at least a genius. This guy is text book fraud.
Blocked everyone from MDI or IIIT who questioned him on his degrees from all platforms.

You meant "testbook" fraud? 😬

The guy was absolutely fishy and was already a butt of jokes in the Startup Circles. Apparently saw someone write that he is having suicidal thoughts, should have thought this before doing frauds and charging 25k/session for some fuddu Gyan on startups.

Yo, that’s a bit much. Whatever he did, didn’t commit any crime. Saying idc if he is having suicidal thoughts is inhumane. Should get a chance at redemption

This is absolute fraud buddy. You are charging 25k basis a lot of things which he absolutely ain't. People who would have paid 25 k to him can absolutely file an FIR and take him to court for fraud.
