Thanks. Depends on firm to firm. But it’s rewarding in the long run. Principal/Partners tend to make a lot of money in the form of carry. However, it all depends on the investment decisions made

Imo you have 0.5yoe and you're getting paid well. Not all roles are front loaded on comp when compared to software engineering. The actual payoff will come in the next 5-6yrs.
