This is actually very sad, but I would like to point out that if you’re travelling by Rapido - you have very little concern about your own life. I mean this person works in Google, isn’t the whole point of making more money to live a better, safer life?
Agreed. This is so common in India where people earn lakhs in income in tech jobs, will spend huge amounts on party and alcohol but somehow think mode of transportation is an unnecessary expense. Two wheelers are the most unsafe option in India and one should avoid that as much possible, its better to take an auto or metro/cab/e-rickshaw whatever option available. For me personally I have employed a driver bcos I travel 30+ km daily one-side and its too unsafe to drive in such high traffic. Don’t have any good public transport facilities there. My salary is not that much but still I think its a necessary expense, whereas people in my office make fun of my saying you must be so rich and this is so stupid and all. Indians will spend crores on their wedding but become kanjoos when it comes to their safety and comfort.
Unless desperate, I'd never trust to be a pillion rider with a human being that I'm not comfortable with. Especially looking at how various people ride their bikes in Bangalore, this is always a dangerous option.
Rapido is indeed in a bad shape for customer service and quality.

It's the driver's personal fault not the rapido. You can always identify a rash driver and you have full will to quit the ride. There was no need for a blaming company for some specific person's actions.
I recently came across incident where a female was sexually harassed by the raido driver, and the response of complain about action against driver and more was that they can't process refund. Why rapido is exceptionally unsafe option among all ?
